Terms of Service
Last updated: February 25, 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Concordance (“the Service”), operated by Concordance (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
What the Service Does
Concordance is an SDLC intelligence platform that analyzes software development practices by scanning metadata from your connected tools (GitHub, Jira, Linear, and other integrations). The Service provides maturity scores, recommendations, and benchmarking based on automated analysis. It requests read-only access and does not modify your repositories, issues, or data in any connected tool.
Use at Your Own Risk
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Scores, recommendations, and assessments generated by Concordance are automated estimates based on available metadata. They should not be treated as definitive measures of software quality, security posture, or engineering capability. Do not make hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, or other personnel decisions solely based on Concordance scores.
We do not guarantee that scores are accurate, complete, or current. Metadata from third-party APIs may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Concordance, its owner, affiliates, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Service, any conduct or content of any third party, unauthorized access to your data, scores or recommendations provided, decisions made based on information from the Service, or any interruption or termination of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
Your Responsibilities
You must have authorization to connect the repositories and tools you scan with Concordance. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the scoring algorithms. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to resell, sublicense, or redistribute assessment data without permission.
Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy & Security Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
You may revoke access to connected tools at any time. Upon disconnection, we stop accessing your data. You may request deletion of stored assessment data by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
Concordance integrates with third-party services including GitHub, Atlassian (Jira), and Linear. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of any third-party service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your integrations. Upon termination, provisions regarding liability, disclaimers, and indemnification survive.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Concordance, its owner, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
